1962 Ford Fairlane/Comet/Falcon - For sale is Great running Original 1962 Ford 221 CID small block motor, correct for 1962-63 Failrlane, Falcon, or Comet. The engine doesn't smoke, burn or leak oil. It doesn't make any strange sounds or knocking noises. The short block was rebuilt a few years ago. I drove the car with this motor in it from Virginia to Florida with absolutely no problems. I would trust this motor to make a cross country trip. It appears to be standard bore. I bought the engine a couple of years ago and installed it in my 62 1/2 Mustang. It came with 1977 302 heads on it. However, I replaced the heads with a completely professionally rebuilt set of casting C4OE heads in May 2007. That imcreased the compression to what the engine was originally supposed to run at. The engine comes complete with timing cover and oil pan. You'll need an intake and carburetor. The intake and carb went on my Mustang engine. I have pictures plus video with sound of the engine running that I will be more than happy to send you in email. I rebuilt the 289 motor that came in my Mustang so I no longer need this motor. The engine is now out of the car and ready to go. The heads alone set me back $530 and I'm asking $650 for the complete motor minus the intake and carb. I may be able to get a 2 barrel intake manifold from the junk yard here for $25. This is a good engine for a resoration project. Date code on the engine I believe is Dec 1962. I will deliver this motor to a local freight company but you are responsible for shipping and arranging for such. I will also deliver the motor within a 50 mile radius of Vero Beach, FL for 45 cents a mile round trip.

1962 Ford Fairlane 500 - for sale - This rare beauty was purchased brand spanking new on 05/05/1962 from Crowell Motor Co. located in S. Boston Virginia. It was barely driven and garage kept. On Aug, 29, 1989 it had 87,
306 original mils. On Feb. 6, 1990 it is documented that the car was only driven 979 mils.
At the time of purchase in 1993 the original mils were 88, 285 mils. The car was then stored away and sat until 2001. Sometime in the spring my dad and I threw back the cover on this beauty and just starred at the awesome site that was before us, to this day everything on this sweet ride remains original from front to rear, top to bottom, side to side right down to the cooper tire's. (With some slight ware on the passenger side from smok'n it from time to time) haha. The only major restoration that has been done to this car was the engine.
